The graphic designer’s first fucking consideration is always the size and shape of the format, whether for the printed page or for digital display. Intuition is fucking important. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring.” Whatever can be captured in words can be conquered with understanding. To go partway is easy, but mastering anything requires hard fucking work.

Can we all just agree as the greater design community to stop fucking talking about Comic Sans altogether? Form follows fucking function. You won’t get good at anything by doing it a lot fucking aimlessly. Accomplishment validates belief, and belief inspires accomplishment. Your rapidograph pens are fucking dried up, the x-acto blades in your bag are rusty, and your mind is dull. Stop clicking your mouse, get messy, go back to the basics and make something fucking original.

Remember it’s called the creative process, it’s not the creative fucking moment. Defy fucking convention. If you don’t test your will against the dissent of the world, it can never grow stronger. There is no right fucking answer. The splendor of the mystery is that you don’t understand. Intuition is fucking important.
